The Money for Life Challenge

The Money for Life Challenge, a new UK-wide competition, is a great opportunity for learners who have ideas about how people can make their money go further to get out amongst their friends, families or communities and spread the word!Activities could be anything from:

• getting fellow learners clued up about choosing the right mobile phone contract
• empowering local young Mums to be savvy shoppers
• demonstrating how being green can also be good for the family purse strings

The ideas are endless!

Any college, work-based learning provider or community partner - together with a team(s) of learners - can apply for a small grant to run a money management activity in its community and then enter it in the Money for Life Challenge. The teams with the most innovative and impactful ideas will have the opportunity to present them to a panel of judges at the Wales final in March.  Your entry could even take you to the grand UK final in London with some great prizes.

The programme will not only help learners improve their money management skills but will also provide them with relevant experience and talking points for their CVs and job interviews, improve their planning, project and time management skills and give them the chance to have fun and be creative.

Involvement helps sponsoring organisations meet requirements for a range of courses, as well as active citizenship and core and employability skills, and provides an opportunity to build on their profile among their local communities.
